This summer?
Let’s just say… it didn’t go as planned.
My wife Patti is a 3rd grade teacher, which means during the school year our alarm goes off at 4:15am.
By 5:00, I’ve already skimmed my emails and error logs to make sure there are no fires to put out, and I’m usually in the garage putting on the headphones and out the door.
But summer hits differently.
This year, I told myself I’d stick to the schedule.
But by the end of June? I was struggling to get after it 😅
Add in the fact that my youngest daughter Madison graduated law school in May (🎓 go Madi!) and has been studying for the bar exam all summer.
If you’ve ever been around someone prepping for that… whew. You know what I mean. (Love you, Madi.)
Now it’s August!
Madi took the bar last week, and Patti is heading back to school this week. Tthings are finally settling down.
And I can feel that old rhythm clicking back into place.
And here’s what hit me…
👉 I usually go hard.
But this summer? We were just cruising.
Foot off the gas. Letting things float.
And all of a sudden, I looked up and thought:
What did I actually accomplish?
Yes, we brought on some new clients, completed a major launch project for another…
But I feel we could have done sooo much more.
You’ve probably been there too.
Maybe you’re just now catching your breath from a hectic season.
Or realizing you’ve let some of your big goals collect a little dust.
No shame in that. Life happens.
But this week? Let’s reset.
Let’s pick something that matters:
✅ your health
✅ your next project
✅ your client outreach
…and go a little harder than last week.
Don’t hustle for hustle’s sake.
But because routine gives us clarity.
And clarity gives us momentum.
Let’s get back to it. We have just over 100 days until Thanksgiving! 🦃
That is plenty of time to:
🚀 launch a new product
📈 expand your services
📬 reconnect with old leads
…you get the idea.
I’m right there with you. Let’s lean in and make the next 100 days count!
